Parc des Buttes-Chaumont
Located in the Nineteenth Arrondissement, the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is the steepest park in Paris. The 23-hectare park was commissioned by Napoleon III and officially opened at the World Fair of 1867. Known for its Anglo-Chinese style, the park features a number of notable attractions, in particular the Temple of Sybil, a Roman-inspired structure perched atop a rocky bluff. Additional features include bridges and a waterfall, as well as a plethora of flora, including chestnut trees and cedars of Lebanon.
