Le Bouchon et l’Assiette
Continuing the tradition of the bistronomy that started in the 80's and 90's, husband and wife team Clément Vidalon and Cécile Delarbre bring their classical training to Le Bouchon et l’Assiette, a small bistro in the out-of-the way Batignolles neighborhood of the Seventeenth Arrondissement. Within the burgandy brick façade, the restaurant decor is pleasant but unremarkable. The walls are adorned only with retro posters of the Basque country, inspiration for the menu of simple classics such as a pheasant soup with bacon and salt cod in red wine sauce, as well as the unexpected fois gras with candied lemon.
Insider Tip:
This bistro does not have air conditioning and can be stuffy on a warm day.
