Ritz-Carlton Expands Award-Winning Environmental Program

This summer, Ritz-Carlton guests will have more to look forward to than just sunbathing. The luxury hotel company will expand its ecological program, Ambassadors of the Environment, to three of its properties. The program, created by award-winning environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau, emphasizes education and sustainability through various Caribbean eco-adventures.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas offers tours through its mangrove-lined coast with the Mangrove & Dinosaur Wonderland program. You’ll also come face-to-face with some of the island’s seven-foot green iguanas.

At Dorado Beach, Ritz-Carlton’s newly launched reserve, you’ll learn how to take pictures with your camera (note: not iPhone!) underwater. Their Take Pictures, Leave Bubbles adventure provides waterproof housing for your digital cameras to snap shots of marlin and mahi mahi.

For those who prefer a moon-lit strand, try the night snorkeling excursion at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Nothing’s more romantic than a reef-dive at night.
