Selfie Scavenger Hunt

201404-hd-the-muse-hoteljpg

Ready, set, #selfie! Kimpton’s Muse Hotel in New York City is inviting guests to explore Manhattan on a Selfie Scavenger Hunt.

Guests are provided a list of ten must-see sites in New York, ranging from Katz’s Deli to the Empire State Building. Participants will need to document the sites on Twitter, tweeting each location to the @KimptoninNYC handle and using the hashtag #MuseSelfie.

Prizes range from a round of cocktails to discounted room rates and upgrades.

The front desk at the hotel is offering a “Selfie Prop Kit” in case your selfies need a little dressing up.

Top Facebook Check-Ins for Earth Day

Grand Canyon

Untamed mountains, green forests, pristine lakes, and wide-open spaces. What better way to celebrate Earth Day than at a U.S. national park? Facebook agreed and put together a list of the top 2013 check-ins from national parks around America.

Top US National Parks:

1.  Grand Canyon
2.  Yosemite
3.  Yellowstone
4.  Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts
5.  Great Smoky Mountains
6.  Zion
7.  Rocky Mountain
8.  Everglades
9.  Acadia
10. Joshua Tree

Interestingly enough, 12 percent of those who checked into a park on Facebook in 2013, live in another country, with the United Kingdom in the lead.

The U.S. cities whose residents are the top visitors to U.S. National Parks are from Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Denver.

Wherever you are in the world, Earth Day is the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy, well, the earth!

52 Ways to Win a Trip to Australia

Australia

Someday, is today. Rather than always saying that one day you’ll make it to Australia, Delta, Virgin Australia, and Tourism Australia have teamed up to give travelers the chance to take it off their bucket list with its new "52 Somedays" program.

From a “Grape Escape” to spending a week snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef or riding a camel across ivory white sands, there are 52 experiences to choose from, and enter into here.

The beautiful visual experience of signing up is enticing enough to want to enter your name in for all of the experiences (which you can!). Place a “pin” on the map of Australia at the location and enter for a chance to win that “Someday” trip.

Australia is a must-visit destination on many Americans bucket lists to visit someday. If anything, this campaign not only encourages travelers to pack their bags—but gives them a free excuse to do so faster.
