Arizona Biltmore, Phoenix
Phoenix’s grande dame was built in the 1920’s by disciples of Frank Lloyd Wright, and unlike many Phoenix resorts, it’s understated and elegant—a sophisticated gray stone carved with Wright’s signature angles. Rooms are small and cozy and feature earth-tone furnishings. Explore eight pools and numerous nooks and crannies among the 39 acres, including the Catalina pool; Irving Berlin reportedly wrote “White Christmas” while afloat here. This summer, it’s hosting the third annual Hollywood & Wine Festival.

Deal:From $80/night ($119/night and third night free), available through Labor Day. Use group code “ZU” when booking online or call 800-950-0086.

Beach House Inn, Kennebunkport, Maine
This 1891 inn is right on Mother’s Beach overlooking the steel-blue waters of the Atlantic. Its style is Victorian-meets-cottage cool, with four classes of rooms, each individually furnished. There’s no on-site restaurant, but the sunlit Sitting Room functions as the inn’s de facto gathering space, with its overstuffed furniture, giant stone fireplace, and generous morning, afternoon (tea and cookies), and evening (wine and cheese) spreads. A row of rocking chairs lines the wraparound porch; active types can poke their noses around the town’s touristy hub, Dock Square, just two miles away.

Deal: From $199/night. Includes: continental breakfast, afternoon coffee and tea, and use of bikes and kayaks.

Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Florida
Here’s a destination resort with something for every family member. At Weekend Splash Parties, parents can relax as kids do poolside races, scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk contests, and dance parties. On Fridays, kids roast s’mores along the fire pit—with s’more cocktails for parents. There are dive-in movies to watch while floating the pool and casual volleyball games on Saturdays. Teen Spa Afternoons: Every day, between 1 to 3 p.m., there are Teen Spa Afternoons at the resort’s new Mokara Spa—teens can get manicures, pedicures and facials.

Deal: From $118/night. Memorial Day Package offers 20% off a two-night stay, 30% off a three-night stay.
