Weather Channel: Romantic Weekend Getaways

Travel + Leisure's digital project editor Sarah Spagnolo highlights four romantic weekend getaways.

1. From the East: Cape Cod, Massachusetts – Chatham Bars Inn (from $250 a night). Many travelers consider Cape Cod to be a summertime escape, but the destination is serene and dramatic in the winter, without the crowds. At the Chatham Bars Inn, you’ll stay in one of 217 Cape-style cottages on a bluff overlooking the crashing waves. Many rooms have bay windows, gas fireplaces, and oversize soaking tubs. Stay through March for $250/night for two nights, and the hotel will throw in breakfast for two, champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, and a $100 credit at the streamlined spa.

2. From the South: Florida Keys – Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle (from $199 a night)
For those looking to beat the winter blues, a fun option is Islamorada, just 60 miles south of Miami. At the bohemian-chic Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle, travelers can relax by the oceanfront pool, head into the water for snorkeling, or order up a Rum Runner cocktail at the Tiki Bar (the cocktail is said to have been invented there in the 1970s). Even now, in prime season, rates start at $199 a night, and that price includes a $60 restaurant and bar credit and a $25 voucher for on-site watersports.

3. From the West: Arizona – Enchantment Resort (from $225 a night)
Staying at one of T+L’s World’s Best destination spas doesn’t have to break the bank, thanks to great deals at Enchantment Resort, in Sedona. Here, you’ll sleep in muted rooms with views of the undulating red rock canyons and green cottonwood trees. The property is known for its 24,000-square foot spa, where Native American-inspired treatments are on offer (don’t miss the blue corn body scrub).

4. From Anywhere: Las Vegas – The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (from $199 a night)
Looking for fun? It doesn’t get better than Las Vegas, which is known for its top dining, shopping, and nightlife options. And now, thanks to the new pop-up chapel at the Cosmopolitan, couples can take or renew their vows at this of-the-moment new hotel, where a white-on-white chapel has floor to ceiling views of the Strip. A bonus? Newlyweds can take a post-wedding photo in the photo booth; images are uploaded directly to Twitter and Facebook. How’s that for an unexpected wedding announcement?
