Travel for a Cause: Packages that Give Back

Hard Rock Hotels, including T+L favorites in Las Vegas and Orlando, is partnering with Facebook Places to raise money for WhyHunger, a non-profit organization that is a leader in the movement to end hunger and poverty. From now through December 31st, each time fans use Facebook Places to check into any Hard Rock Cafe location throughout the U.S., Hard Rock will donate $1 to benefit WhyHunger. Stay at any of the four Gaylord Hotels (Nashville, Kissimmee, Dallas, and Potomac) during their "Rooms for Good" program and 10% of the revenue will be donated to charity. Rotating non profits each month, guests can support causes like the Make a Wish Foundation. Created especially for large stays, from now through December 31st, 2011, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe will give a 5% "refund" for groups to donate to a charity of their choice. Arrangements can also be made for travelers to volunteer at local Lake Tahoe non-profits like The League to Save Lake Tahoe and The Tahoe Rim Trail Association.
