Epicurean Fantasy Weekend in NYC

Michelin Food & Travel, a collaboration of Michelin and Roadtrips, create mouthwatering trips that are the stuff food lover’s dreams are made of: customizable itineraries that include private visits to olive oil producers, small-batch chocolatiers, winemakers, truffle experts, and behind-the-scene experiences at Michelin-starred restaurants throughout France and Italy.

In a departure from their more flexible European itineraries, Michelin Food & Travel has announced what they’re calling an ‘event’: a long, calorie-laden weekend in New York (April 7-10) with exclusive and impressive access to chefs, restaurants, and shops. Here's what's on the menu:

Friday After a morning’s private shopping session at Vera Wang (with refreshments provided by François Payard and washed down with a little Veuve Cliquot), spend Friday afternoon observing and working with Chef David Bouley in his test kitchen (!). Dinner that night? You may find a thing or two to your liking at Eric Ripert’s unrivaled Le Bernardin.

Saturday On Saturday morning, shop the stalls of the Union Square Greenmarket with Chef Dan Kluger and then head back to ABC Kitchen to help him prepare a lunch with the bounty. Saturday evening will be spent in the company of Chef Michael White at Marea and Ai Fiori.

Sunday The final morning, a leisurely private brunch will be held at SD-26, hosted by Chef Matteo Bergamini.

Between feasts, participants will spend three nights at the quietly chic Surrey (where, if an appetite can be mustered, room service comes from Café Boulud downstairs).

While space is tightly limited and the cost pretty steep ($5,940), the event looks like a rare chance to live out an urban epicurean fantasy in the kitchens and fine company of some renowned chefs. If you feel that Santa got your order wrong this year, splurge and book by calling Michelin Food & Travel at (877) 304-2051.
