NYC Hotels Gear Up For Fashion Week

This year's New York Fashion Week won't be at the iconic tents at Bryant Park but will instead move up to Lincoln Center—a cultural destination all its own. Fashionable hotels city wide are embracing the change.

Over 40 New York City hotels are offering deals, vouchers, and freebies during the month of September. Participating properties include 6 Columbus, Fashion 26, Hudson New York, and the Mandarin Oriental, New York. Visit nycgo.com/fashionsnightout to learn more about Fashion's Night Out hotel offers.

W Hotels has two programs at Fashion Week this year—with worldwide access available to W Hotel guests around the globe.

Fashion Next, a new program from the brand and its Global Fashion Director Amanda Ross, gives four up-and-coming designers the opportunity to show at Lincoln Center. Monique Péan (think chunky rough-hewn baubles), Bibhu Mohapatra (strong, structured tailoring), Sophie Theallet (flowy feminine frocks) and Rebecca Moses (wearable vibrant color) will all present collections and then travel the world offering exclusive trunk shows for guests at W Hotels.

While at Fashion Week, W will also debut its Winter 2010/Resort 2011 looks on September 12th. The 15-piece release was created by a bevy of top designers including New York-native Behnaz Sarafpour, bag-maven Olivia Harris, jewelry darling Lulu Frost, and the ever-opulent Saga Furs. Each contributer took inspiration from a soon-to-open W Hotel: London-Leicester Square, St. Petersburg, and Vieques. The collection will be available at W Hotels store locations and online beginning in  October.
