Recommendation: Costa Rica’s Lapa Rios Hotel

Located in one of Central America’s last remaining lowland tropical rain forests, the 930-acre Lapa Rios hotel and reserve is part of an important wildlife corridor that abuts Corcovado National Park. The region hosts a variety of endangered animals, including jaguars, scarlet macaws, and tapirs. In fact, Costa Rica is home to 4 percent of the world’s species.
