Getting around in Cancún
Driving in Cancún is for daredevils. Downtown is a nightmare of congested traffic circles and badly marked one-way streets with eager police lurking in the shadows. The hotel zone has one road, Kukulkán Boulevard, with addresses based on distance from the mainland. If your destination is on the wrong side, you have to find a retorno and double back - sometimes more than once, if you don't know exactly where you're going.
