Getting around Florence, Italy
If you're staying in this tiniest of Europe's major sightseeing cities, plan to walk everywhere. Whatever you do, don't rent a car. The city is small enough to negotiate in a pair of comfy flats (you can stroll across the entire historic center in half a hour), and most of the center is closed to traffic anyway. If you are arriving by car, put it in a garage as soon as possible and leave it there until you are ready to move on.
