Public transportation in Chicago

Traffic is notoriously bad in the city and parking is quite expensive-unless you can find a rare metered spot. Therefore, the best way to get around is to utilize the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority.)
• The "L": Chicago's "L"-elevated train-runs eight color-coded lines throughout the city. Trains leave between every 7-15 minutes (depending on time of day) and fares begin at $1.75.
• Bus: There are over 200 bus routes in Chicago that run daily, with fares beginning at $1.75.
