Getting around Madird
Madrid's extensive bus and subway system is relatively easy to navigate - though even easier with a bit of Spanish. You can pick up a "10 viajes" ticket for 6.40 euros from any tobacco shop or newspaper kiosk which gives you, roughly 10 trips on the bus or metro for the price of 6. Taxis can be hailed in the street but be warned: at 3 a.m. when the bars close you will be fighting with the rest of the city for taxis.
