Nature!

The city of Seattle is great but the really great thing about the area is all the nature within a couple hours of the metropolitan area. You've got mountains with skiing to the east, deserts to the east of those mountains, the Pacific Ocean and Lake Washington to the west, and rain forests on the Olympic Peninsula.

If you have the time, take a couple days to check these out.
