Seattle taxis are usually quick and reliable—and super-expensive ($2.50 to start and an extra $2 per mile). Unless you’re in a busy commercial area like downtown or Belltown, where they can be hailed on the street, you’ll have to call for one—and on weekend nights, wait times can be long. Yellow Cabs (206-622-6500) and Orange Cab (206-522-8800) are the two main companies.
