Seattle’s monorail
To get from the downtown shopping district to Seattle Center (home of the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and many other museums, arts venues, and sports arenas), take the monorail that leaves from the Westlake Center Mall at 5th Avenue and Pine Street. The fare is $2 and the trip takes about two minutes (206-905-2620; www.seattlemonorail.com).
