Getting around Paris
Public transportation is by far the best bet for both cost and efficiency. Buy a carnet (a book) of 10 single-use tickets ($17), or opt for the Paris Visite pass, which allows for unlimited metro and bus trips for one, two, three, and five consecutive days ($14–$44) and gives you discounts or free access to selected sites, including the Opéra National in the Palais Garnier and Galeries Lafayette.
