Getting to Paris from Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports

Air France runs a bus service from Charles de Gaulle to Porte Maillot, Étoile, or Gare Montparnasse, and from Orly to Montparnasse and Les Invalides ($15 one-way; $22 round-trip), which are all major thoroughfares with metro stops and taxi stands. Roissybus links Charles de Gaulle to the bustling Opéra metro stop and Orly to the Denfert-Rochereau metro ($16 each way). The cheapest and fastest way into the city ($14 each way; eight minutes to first city stop) is on the regional express train known as the RER: a one-way trip from Charles de Gaulle to Paris takes 45–60 minutes. (Stops: Luxembourg, Saint-Michel, Châtelet, Denfert-Rochereau, and Gare du Nord.) A taxi trip from Paris to Orly takes 20–45 minutes and should cost $62–$78, although a flat fare is in the works.
