Driving in Orlando
Renting a car is a great idea here. Disney operates free shuttles and trolleys around its resort, but they’re slow and crowded and can turn a quick jaunt into a miserable 90-minute odyssey. The rest of Orlando sprawls and the public bus system is lacking, so without a vehicle, you’ll miss worthy non-theme-park sights. Virtually all major rental agencies—including Avis, Budget, Alamo, and Dollar—have branches at the airport.
