Biking in Minneapolis/St. Paul
Biking is a viable option for those with time, especially in Minneapolis, which has 55 miles of designated bicycle lanes. The Midtown Greenway, which will eventually connect to St. Paul, has almost six miles of bike paths running through South Minneapolis between Lake Calhoun and the Mississippi River. If you get tired of riding, keep in mind that bikes can be brought aboard Hiawatha Light Rail trains, and they fit into racks on the front of city buses (www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/bicycles/where-to-ride.asp).
