Getting to the Cities from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP)
Renting a car or catching a taxi are your fastest options. It’s about 20 minutes to downtown Minneapolis and 15 minutes to St. Paul, with taxi fares running about $25-$30. The convenient Hiawatha Light Rail line takes about 25 minutes and makes 11 stops—several of them near downtown hotels—between the airport and downtown Minneapolis ($1.50 or $2 during rush hour), but it does not yet run to St. Paul.
