Getting around Houston by light rail

Houston’s sleek light rail runs up and down Main Street, the spine of the center city. These could be the only wheels you need if you are staying downtown and your destinations are along that route (Midtown, most Museum District attractions, Hermann Park, Rice University, Medical Center). New east-west lines, and airport routes, are in the works; until they are completed, the train has limited reach and use to most travelers. For train and bus schedules, visit: www.ridemetro.org.
