When to go to Houston
Houston is famously steamy in summer, but it’s also the most air-conditioned city this side of Dubai (it’s worth remembering that the 1965 Astrodome, now a white elephant gawked at from the freeway, was the world’s first enclosed, air-conditioned stadium). So while the heat and humidity shouldn’t stop you, best to plan on going between late September and early May, when skies can be crisp and brilliant.
