Getting around Detroit

Like Los Angeles, Detroit is a driving town. If you want to see all the sights, rent a car. If you’ll be visiting Downtown only, you can get by with taxis, hotel shuttles, and the Detroit People Mover—an elevated light rail that traverses a 2.9 mile loop (www.thepeoplemover.com; 50 cents per ride).
