Getting to Beijing by air

As the capital city of the world’s fastest developing and most populous nation, Beijing is serviced by daily flights from all over the globe. North American carriers include Northwest Airlines, United Airlines, Continental, and Air Canada; international flights land at the gigantic Norman Foster–designed Terminal 3 at Beijing Capital International Airport (www.bcia.com.cn). To get to the city, catch a metered cab from ranks outside the terminal (the ride downtown will cost $15-$20), or take the speedy new airport express to downtown.
