The name of Scott Evan Wasserberger, whose initials spell SEW, says exactly what he does at his small custom men's clothing store, designing suits for clients like Tony Sirico (of The Sopranos, naturally) using refined Dormeuil, Loro Piana, and Thomas Mason fabrics. It's not unlikely that his parents named him for the monogram: he was the third generation in the family to work at Brooklyn's legendary tailor, Wasserbergers, before bringing his dad (and pattern-maker), Artie, over the bridge. Don't let the Singer sewing machine fool you, because SEW also carries ready-to-wear Abaton clothing, woven from gossamer-thin cashmere and silk.

Tip: It takes four to eight weeks (and $1,850-$4,000) to have a suit custom-made, but if you're in town only for a quick trip, a ready-made blazer or dress shirt can be tailored for a perfect fit in one or two days.
