The plum-hued bar is both small and posh, which makes it the perfect place to savor rare champagnes (a bottle of Krug vintage 1996 will set you back $625); fine wines (available by the glass); a mean Bellini; and a brief but excellent bar menu (including grilled cheese strips with rosemary). Add red leather banquettes and dim lighting for a dash of glamour, then sit back and people-watch. (Kate Moss, Sophie Dahl, and Mick Jagger are just a few of the regulars.)
