Snoop Dogg

The rapper had a tough travel year in 2006: in October he was arrested at Burbank’s Bob
Hope Airport for having a handgun and some marijuana in his car, according to police reports. But
that pales in comparison with the near riot he and his entourage reportedly caused at Heathrow earlier that year. When British Airways
officials tried to boot him and his companions from a business-class lounge (apparently, some of
the chaps were carrying coach-class tickets), a brawl ensued that extended to a nearby duty-free
shop as the police tried to escort them away from the lounge. The group reportedly smashed display
cabinets in the shop while also fighting police. “They were throwing the policemen around
like pillows,” an airport worker told reporters. Riot vans were dispatched, and seven
officers were injured—one with a broken hand.

Consequences: Snoop was released on bail after the Burbank incident and ultimately pleaded no
contest. No charges were filed at Heathrow, though Snoop and his friends were banned from British
Airways.
