Republic of Tuva

12 of 13

The national anthem for the Republic of Tuva, in southern Siberia, is possessed of such peaceful lyrics it could almost be called adorable. Titled “Tooruktug Dolgay Tangdym (The Forest Is Full of Pine Nuts),” this charming national song seems only to be missing references to rainbows, unicorns, and fairy dust.

When I walk in my forest
I will always be satisfied
Because my forest is rich with
animals and everything I need.

Nine different animals—If I herd
them and feed them
And take care of them as my
Own—I'll be rich.
