World's Best Holiday Light Displays

Johnson City, Texas
Thanks to the Pedernales Electric Cooperative, a square block of park space in this small (pop. 1,500) Hill Country town—just a stone’s throw from Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park—turns into a bona fide winter wonderland at Christmas. More than a million lights are wound among the park’s trees and illuminated—and viewers come from much farther afield than the two nearest cities (Austin and San Antonio) to see them.
