The World's Quirkiest Adult Camps
New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and London, but look for one-day camps coming to 25 U.S. cities in 2008
Why it's fun: Campers learn the ropes from their rock 'n roll idols including Joe Walsh, Slash, and Max Weinberg. You can bring your own instruments or use the camp's; small bands allow you to write and rehearse a song with a celebrity musician/counselor. There are daily jam sessions and a finale Battle of the Bands performance where you play at a sold-out venue with guest stars like Roger Daltrey and Brian Wilson.
Who goes: Doctors, marketing execs, corporate titans, lawyers, and anyone who has pretended to play guitar à la Jimi Hendrix.
Great add-on: Everyone stays at the hotel, even the celebrities, so hang out with them at the hotel bar.
Price: $2,000 for one-day camps, $8,000–$12,000 for four- to five-day camps
