Westend Bistro
Washington, DC, 20037, United States
Run by award-winning chef Eric Ripert of (Michelin three-starred) Le Bernardin fame, Westend Bistro incorporates Mid-Atlantic ingredients from local farms into a mix of French and American bistro cuisine. DC's downtown Ritz-Carleton plays host to this Adamstein & Demetriou-designed restaurant occupying a pleasing glassed-in space. (Amber hues reign, and the restaurant features an elliptical marble bar.) Drawing on family recipes and traditions, French chef Ripert plates up American comfort food with a twist. Popular selections include mini fish burgers topped with shaved fennel, veal cheeks in a buttery potato purée, and Chesapeake seafood stew.
Insider Tip:
Westend Bistro offers a pre-theater special all week for patrons of the nearby Kennedy Center. Between 5:30 and 6 p.m., enjoy a three-course dinner from a select menu for $35 per person.
