Weinbar at Julius Meinl

Crowds descend upon Gordon Bukovcan's cozy wine bar throughout the day. After all, the bar is on the lower level of renowned Julius Meinl gourmet supermarket, where many customers head downstairs (shoppping bags in tow) to enjoy a glass of wine. The first-rate grocery store and delicatessen sells specialty products and, at Meinl's Wienbar, 30 wines by the glass are offered as well as premium bottles for sale — most of which are Austrian. Tapas and sushi, along with antipasti and a variety of cheeses, are available to nibble on as complements to the wine.
