Suquet de l’Almirall
From the May 2008 Food & Wine Go List
Named after a classic Catalan seafood casserole, this local favorite is located in Barceloneta, a traditional fishermen’s neighborhood. Chef Quim Marqués serves both classic and updated dishes from fideuá (seafood pasta paella) to hummus with garlicky shrimp.
We loved: Olive oil–poached clams with Ibérico ham and pine nuts.
Insider tip: In summer, the outdoor tables are the place to eat.
