Right by the Nuruosmaniye gate of the legendary Grand Bazaar (turn right on the first street past the entrance), this cult dive dishes out hearty portions of Turkish comfort food. No need for a menu: All the specials—bracing lamb and eggplant casseroles, plump stuffed vegetables—are displayed in pans by the kitchen.
We loved: Buttery pilaf with chickpeas; rice-stuffed chicken.
