Sip Sip
This funky, lime-green-painted cottage overlooking Harbour Island’s eastern beach is well named—it’s definitely the island’s most popular spot for both kinds of sip sip (local slang for both gossip and a drink). Sun-bronzed young things in Gucci sunglasses and Pucci pareos gather at the plank tables inside or out on the terrace to lunch on bowls of spicy conch chili, curried chicken salad, and light Middle-Eastern dishes like hummus and baba ghanoush; the beer and fruity cocktails flow freely, and so does the chatter: isn’t that Mick Jagger sitting just outside?
Tip: Come early: Sip Sip closes every day at 4 p.m.
