Sea-View Takeaway
The setting—a pink-painted shack right on Governor’s Dock in Dunmore Town—seems almost suspiciously convenient at first. After all, it’s the very first seafood stand you encounter when you get off the Harbour Island ferry—could it really be that good? In our opinion, yes—but don’t take our word for it. Do what local dockworkers and shopkeepers have been doing here for more than 20 years: order a paper-lined basket full of crisp, smoking-hot conch fritters or a fried grouper burger slathered with tartar sauce, and take a seat on the shaded deck.
Tip: Keep an eye out for the bold feral chickens—yes, chickens—that roam around the dock area (and the rest of the island). They’ll get almost right under your feet to peck for crumbs.
