Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill

Bunker Hill Street ends at Mission Bay Drive, right at the entrance to the original Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill. Within this red, yellow, and blue building, Ralph Rubio began selling his now-famous fish tacos after an inspiring meal at a San Felipe, Mexico street food vendor. The menu expands beyond the signature tacos (made with wild Alaskan pollock) to also carry veggie or chicken burritos, shrimp tacos, and nachos. Stop by the made-fresh-daily salsa bar, which includes six mild-to-hot options, or try Rubio's unique white sauce. Both indoor and patio seating are available.
