Restaurant Lux Stockholm
From the May 2008 Food & Wine Go List
Shortly after it opened in 2003, in a building that was once the staff canteen for the Electrolux company, Restaurant Lux Stockholm won a Michelin star for Henrik Norström and Peter Johansson’s modern Nordic cuisine. Since those early days, the restaurant has maintained its appeal, helped by a waterside setting on Lilla Essingen, one of the lesser-known islands that make up the city of Stockholm.
We loved: Pike perch with smoked eel, artichoke and Scottish lobster.
Insider tip: Lunches are a relative bargain here. There’s a daily dish—such as shoulder of lamb in a sweet-and-sour dill sauce with parsley root and potatoes—priced at just $22.
