Picholine
Named after a variety of small, green olives, Picholine is the first restaurant owned by famed chef Terrance Brennan, who formerly served as a saucier at the renowned Le Cirque restaurant. Opened in 1993, the restaurant, located near New York’s Lincoln Center, has gained recognition for its menu of seasonally-inspired French-Mediterranean cuisine, including such specialties as diver sea scallops with cauliflower silk and heirloom chicken Kiev with chanterelles. A highlight of Picholine is its wine and cheese bar, where patrons can sample the restaurant’s selection of over 600 wines.
Insider Tip:
Sample Picholine’s cheese selection. Terrance Brennan is a fan of artisanal cheeses, and Picholine features a cheese cart, as well as a cheese cave in the wine room.
