Napa General Store
Situated in the Historic Napa Mill district established in 1884, the Napa General Store contains several operations: a restaurant serving breakfast and lunch; a wine tasting bar specializing in small-batch local wines; and a gift store selling everything from jewelry to vases made with grape vines. Established by San Franciscan restaurateurs Jim and Jill Brandt, the café occupies a 4,530-square-foot space with brick walls, mismatched wooden tables, and a large outdoor patio on the Napa River bank. Breakfast includes options like cornmeal pancakes, while a brick oven produces lunchtime pizzas like the Roma, topped with sausage, pepperoni, and roasted fennel.
Insider Tip:
If you’re dining inside, request a secluded table by the wood stove, far from the busy shop and wine tasting area.
