Union Square
Millennium Restaurant
San Francisco, CA, 94102, United States
Millennium is a rare, high-end vegetarian restaurant, located just west of Union Square. Designer Charles deLisle captured Millennium’s eco-friendly approach by crafting chandeliers from paper sacks and curtains from plastic bags. Chef Eric Tucker maintains a commitment to sustainable, farm-driven ingredients to deliver multi-course menus on a nightly basis, plus a three-course tasting menu for diners on a raw-food diet. Dishes include roasted artichoke filled with portobello mushrooms, pecans, and eggplant picadillo, served with porcini-toasted farro risotto. The beverage program also relies on breweries, distilleries, and wineries with a similarly eco-friendly ethos.
Insider Tip:
Bourbon & Branch, a modern speakeasy that helped spark San Francisco’s cocktail revival, is around the corner and a great stop for an after-dinner drink.
