Seattle
Metropolitan Grill
This downtown steakhouse offers an elegant dining environment, with its dark wood-panelled walls, plush forest-green velvet banquettes, and white-tablecloth service. A 60-foot, marble-top bar offers the perfect happy hour perch from which to enjoy the award-winning smoky met martini, made with vodka, a splash of 18-year-old Glenlivet, and an orange twist. Wines, though global in origin, skew to West Coast reds. Menu favorites are house-cut, dry-aged USDA Prime beef from Nebraska, and American Wagyu from Idaho, grilled over mesquite charcoal.
