Mangerie

Cevdetpasa Cad. 69
Istanbul, Turkey
TEL: 90-212-263-5199

If the name of this rooftop bistro in the city's Beverly-Hills-type neighborhood of Bebek betrays a certain European flavor, it’s not by accident. Opened in 2004, the restaurant has clean design with mostly white hues and wood, but the real attraction is the terrace overlooking the Bosphorus, which fills up quickly on warm evenings and Sunday brunch. The menu has Eurofied versions of Turkish dishes like sea bass burgers, lamb and wheat noodle salad, and a variety of paninis.

Insider Tip:

Mangerie may be the only restaurant in the city that serves real maple syrup on its pancakes, but it doesn’t come cheap.
