This gem in the arsenal of every businessman and artist in town is nevertheless missed by many tourists. Inside the modern, uncluttered Scandinavian-style dining room, walls alternate between bold red, mustard yellow, and carved blond-wood panels. The menu centers on tortillas, the ubiquitous Spanish omelettes served in every tapas joint in town. But far from the dry cake stuffed with potatoes you often find, these are succulent and imaginative, made with bacalao (dried salt cod), truffles, exotic mushrooms…in short, tortillas in nearly every way imaginable. Even the “plain” potato tortilla is rich and creamy. Other dishes—steak done to perfection with a dusting of sea salt, a simple tomato salad with ripe, sweet tomatoes and rich, flavorful olive oil—are also excellent, but every table should try at least two tortillas.
