You won’t find bow-tied waiters or elaborate gourmet dishes at La Casalinga (“The Housewife”). Instead, Florentines—and the occasional tour group—pile in here for the friendly, family atmosphere and the heaped platters of authentic, homemade cuisine. Husband and wife team Ferruccio and Graziella run the kitchen; their adult offspring Andrea and Cristina wait on guests in the no-frills dining rooms, the walls adorned with drawings scribbled on the paper place mats by past diners.

Signature Dishes: Ribollita (oven-cooked bread and vegetable soup); homemade tiramisu.
