At this casually chic whitewashed gem, on pedestrian-only Adrianou Street opposite the train tracks in front of the Thisseion temple, the menu changes with the season—and it’s presented on a gorgeously designed poster incorporating photos, doodles, and poems. The dishes are just as creative: summer options might include grilled salmon with fennel pie and traditional fish soup, and panna cotta in rose-petal syrup for dessert. The best seating option is the elegant rooftop with white divans for lounging and Acropolis views, but the tables on the pedestrian walkway—with trains pulling in and urbanites walking by—are a close second. Even the buzzy, high-ceilinged interior is seductive; at night you’ll catch glimpses of Athens’s beautiful people in the flickering candlelight.

Insider Tip:

Reservations are generally necessary for the rooftop, though walk-ins are welcome to sit inside or, if it’s not too crowded, on the sidewalk.
