Located just off Main Street, this popular seafood restaurant is housed in a small, wood-shingled building
decorated with panels of stained glass salvaged from old New England churches. Inside, the dim space is divided into an upstairs dining room and a downstairs bar, both of which are typically loud and lively. Starters like the devils on horseback (bacon-wrapped scallops) are followed by signature entrées such as the Thai bouillabaisse and the sole piccata (fresh sole with lemon, herbs, and caper butter sauce). The restaurant also serves a less expensive tavern menu, available at the bar from 3—5 p.m.
If you don’t have reservations, arrive early and request a seat at the bar, where you can still order from the full menu. Service is often quicker there, as well.
