A quintessentially Hawaiian seafood restaurant built over the ocean, Huggo’s is a Kona institution, having been in the same island family for more than 30 years. There are nautical charts on the tabletops, a roomy open-air bar, and live Hawaiian bands on most nights. Spotlights shine into the water at night, attracting fish and manta rays. The adjoining outdoor bar, Huggo’s on the Rocks, can get even livelier, with nighttime hula performances and bands under flaming tiki torches.
